Celebrex is one of the representatives of NSAID medications. As many other of them it can increase the possibility of heart attack or stroke resulting in death. There are multiple fact existing that sometimes Celebrex leads to quite serious heart problems for those people who use it. Some scientists suggest Celebrex - and other medications in its class - may be linked to heart risks because they behave the same as Vioxx. The manufacturer of Celebrex, Pfizer Inc., gave no indication that it would withdraw its product, saying the new results were at odds with other ongoing and completed clinical trials.
Representatives of FDA claim that they have not yet made any decision on this medication. They are going to conduct various additional tests in order to confirm or deny the information about serious heart risks of patients taking Celebrex.
